bp ultimate???

Default bp ultimate???

hi, ive noticed most of you use v power fuel. is bp ultimate ok to run my 1998 wrx on??

scoobs don't like bp mate,most det like hell on it.if you need to use it make sure you have some octane booster in there as well.

Youd be better off using cheaper Tesco 99RON SUL.

Question,

If BP Ultimate is so crap, why are Ford using it in their WRC Car & doing so much better than us???

ORRRR< is it a different BP Ultimate?????

Hi BP is fine for cleaning the engine once and a while but not for everyday use my WRX with PPP goes noticeably quicker with V Power......

Have an article in evo mag about different petrols. One thing they say is Subarus prefer Shell (Opti/Vpower), Mitsis prefer BP ulti.

Ford also used BP fuel because BP are team sponsors, to the tune of one big stack of cash every year

Pretty sure they were the teams main sponsor until Abu Dhabi tourist board (or whatever they call themselves) came along.

ive also used waitroses own 99 super + and its a very good fuel.works well on my wagon.thats if theres a waitrose supermarket near you.

Couldn.t get my normal V power 2 weeks ago so I used BP ultimate. Knocklink was showing red light .Had to drive off boost till I refilled with V power.

Is that the £3+ per litre stuff.

thanks for your info guys. ive been using ultimate for about a week now cos its near where i live. i havent noticed anything bad but i suppose ill change to v power now coz youve made me all paranoid lol

BP Ultimate worked well in my Buell which was a moses old 2 valve air cooled lump.......... scoob hated it and have never use it since,v power since.

i've used bp but its the same as norm super unleaded

but v-power is better by miles, i mostly use super unleaded anyways
the car was mapped for min of 97ron so is safe to use

but between tesco 99 & v-power?
about the same

Tesco 99 for me .... almost 5p per litre cheaper than Shell ... and when you are putting 3-4 tanks in a week it makes some difference ... roll on those club card points

A tenner isn't a huge amount of money but it is 3 pints and a small wine/fruit based drink for the lady.
