Question gearbox oil change

Hi i have a 96 sti inport and i am wanting to change the gearbox oil but can not find the point were i empty the old and refill with the new and also how do you go about checking the level so you no you got the right amount of oil .THANKS

Refilling the gearbox is down the pipe where the oil dipstick goes (should be slightly left of the intercooler).
I guess the gearbox has a plug to empty it but not sure.

Thanks so you fill the gearbox oil up in the same pace you chaeck the engine oil level .

noooooooooo

basically youll have the engine oil thing elsewhere. to the left of the intercooler, pretty much at the top of the engine bay, nearish your turbo, theres a dipstick. bugger to get too, but you refill and check oil levels through this. you empty through a plug on the underside of the gearbox.


rear diff on my uk classic has two plugs. bottom one to drain, top to refill. best to do both at the same time imho. castrol syntrax 75w 90 is good sheet

should be the one round the front of the engine bay with a yellow cap on. engine oil has two, said capped one for filling and dipstick for level checking...

sure you get asked these questions on a standard driving test

First turbo had so not sure on the ins and outs on car will get the no how after a wile but THANKS for you help anyway

sorry should have said the gearbox oil dipstick not oil dipstick
