Default How long generally does it take to break and sell a WRX?

Hi all,

Might consider breaking the WRX as it is no use to me as it is now. Only thing is I have it sat on my parents driveway as I don't have one myself and they understandably wouldn't want to have it sat around for months on end.

For all those that break their cars, how long on average does it take you to get shot of it before the crane comes for the shell?

Means the difference between selling it whole and selling in parts to me.

Cheers

Simon

is there a garage you could rent nearby?

if you start breaking the car outside the 1st things to go could be the panels - if the doors go then the interior would get damaged (rain) and the car would then be open to theives so you'd lost parts.

Once its open it'll be a shell in no time and you will have no money to show for it. Why not try and sell the whole car for spares?

Broken an omega before.. Stripped all the lights, switchgear, ecu, manifolds and stored in my spare room. Then did the wheels, suspension turrets, read diff and put them in my garden (diff and susp in bags).

Then the air bags came out into my spare room, then all the glass into the garden, then finally got rid of the shell.. Took about 3 days to strip off what i wanted and then the shell was gone. The rest of the parts were flogged over a few months

I've stripped and disposed of a shell in 4 days and then sold the bits on, sell a little cheaper (ebay is good obviously) and they sell quite quick!

Hmmm, from what you are saying, breaking it does sound appealing! I wonder if I can convince the parents that storing all those parts for sale is a good idea!?!

Be nice to see the whole car go as it is though...be really sad to see her in bits!
