A PUBLIC APOLOGY FOR MY POST DELETIONS
#1
Hello all,
For the members of this BBS that were in any way effected by my post deletions, which was the result of my rather volatile reaction to the censorship thread, I would like to publically apologise to you all.
In my life I have made mistakes, and taken what I believed to be the correct course of action, only to later realise that it was wrong.
We all make judgements believing them to be right, sometimes they are, sometimes quite clearly they are not, its the way of the world.
I was feeling a somewhat agitated, with events on here allied to events in my personal life, and regretably chose the option to delete my posts, with the now obvious ramifications.
I realise how selfish this must appear to some of you, it was never meant as a personal snub to any individual, just a matter of me going 'Over The Top'.
I can assure you all, that irrespective of what may happen in the future, I will not be deleting my posts.
I DID NOT delete my posts because people disagreed with my viewpoint, as some people did agree.
But, due to a cumaltive effect of the responses, as they had become a little bit personal from all sides, myself included, allied to events outside of here.
I take full responsibility for my regretable actions, and would not wish to point the finger at anybody other than myself.
I press the keyboard in my house, not you guys and gals.
I wish you all a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
MTR

A posting to match Powerstations wrong fluid announcement - cheers M8, although it has taken me some time to get over the loss of your discussion with Bright Kar over wax - it could be worse - you could have smashed a scooby's face in!

MTR, if everyone thought the same, this board would make damn boring reading.
I've always appreciated your contributions as sincere and well argued. Hang on in here, M8! Best stuff for 01 etc.

Gerg2 - you're not being controversial. It was a few months ago and occurred after a fairly heated (and interesting) debate on censorship.
MTR - thanks mate - I'm sure that wasn't easy to say.

While I didn't exactly agree with your posts in question, neither could I find reason for the subsequent deletion of your [most informative] posts, this post gets my respect. I wish more people could be the same and swallow their pride every now and then.
Like Hoppy said, this BBS would be boring if we ALL had the same views.
Good luck, and welcome back.

MTR,
welcome back - it is good to have you on board again.
Thanks for your honesty and openness - hopefully we will _all_ learn a little from what happened in the past, and we will all benefit from the experience.
Have a great 2001 (and 02, 03 etc.).
Cheers,
mb

MTR,
Total respect for the apology.
I don't have money to throw at the Scoob and welcome your ideas, although I don't have time to try most of them either.
Happy new Year.
