Default FMIC question

just a quick Q, my standard top mount intercooler has a leek in it (stone hitting it i think! ) i have been thinking about a FMIC for a while, can anyone tell me if there is a noticable power/torque increase from this mod? the car is basicly a standard 97 STI, intend to tune it a bit in the future and need to know if id be aswell to just get another TMIC?

cheers Drew

depends on how far you intend on taking mods,if you just intend on going down the normal route of mods ie-air filter, exhaust, dump valve,i would just upgrade to a sti intercooler. but if you are going for better turbo, injectors, remap etc the go for a front mount
