Saw a new WRX ,OMG !!!
This is probably an old discussion, but I saw a new WRX on the road today and DAMN !! that thing is horrible !!
I read a post last week on here where someone was saying the impreza has had its day, and I fear this latest incarnation of our favorite rally bruiser is the final nail in the coffin for subaru, unless they ditch this Proton, Rover 200 hybrid that they have decided to put into production.
Dont know if it will work, but I am trying to attach two pics, one is the new wrx, and the other is the new mitsubishi GSR, which is being marketed to compete with the WRX ( not the STI )
Now tell me, which one would you spend your 20000+ on ?

no it was parked up at the metro centre, the owner obviously likes it or he wouldnt have bought it, and i respect that, I just think its a shame subaru have chosen to sell out to the people who want a bit of poke, but are scared to own a car that looks a bit scary !!

Saw a WRX this week at my local dealers and it's no where near as bad as i had expected.
Yes there is room for improvment but overall it still has a lot to offer for the money.

Originally the "WRX" was never going to be sold in the UK, untill late next year as a Diesel
the standard STi was to aimed at "WRX" buyers
the Sports pack/ Topsec STi was to aimed at "STi" buyers
Hands up who's seen a Production GSR and from the pictures I've seen I didn't like it, both EVO's and Subarus are butt ugly anyway
I've driven the bog standard WRX , inside there is far more room than my STi OK not keen on the Hatch but will try the STi out, if it handles well not to bothered by looks as i only see the outside when I wash it

newer aint better
The new wrx is an irrelevant car,not only due to its looks, but its soft handling and poor brakes. There are simply better cars out there. The new evo is too heavy in my opinion at 1580 KG and as a result is outperformed by its previous incarnation,so whether a subaru or evo fan its bad news all round!

went to dealers today and saw the new wrx in the fleash, realised that even if I had have seen one on the road I would not have reconised it was a subaru. They look plain, boring and very similar to lots of other hatchback cars.
I hope the STI looks a bit more lively.

Haven't seen a single new WRX on the road yet - and I do lots of mileage. Wonder what the sales figures are going to be like... could turn into a turkey and require a swift redesign, like the bugeye.

I see a new WRX in blue with gold wheels a couple of weeks ago in cambridge, and thought it looked much better in the flesh than in pics. Think the gold wheels set it off nicely!

I saw one in pearl white at a dealers today. I must say they look better in the flesh, they just need to do something with those rear lights

Evo is a beast and looks better interior and exterior wise
