Unhappy 40K SERVICE

Hi all,

Just wondered if £260 is a bit high for an MY05 STI Service. 30k was a bit of a pill to swallow with the Cambelt. This was done at Maidenhead Subaru which I'm always happy with and no doubt, that if you took it to BIG BOB's Garage that it will be a few £££ cheaper.

Any Thoughts anyone?

Alex

My 30k the other week was only around £280. No plugs or air filter used.

(*maybe that was because they banged the bumper?!?! )

I got it in the Book. The guy said it was a standard two hour service where they also change the Brake Fluid and do a "Brake Check" they so this, it seems every 20k so we could see some different opinions on here.

Yeah, on the service report i got all the list and remember brake check and top-up on there. It wasn't expensive though, less than £300 and had fully-synth.

Picking it up in the hour so will check the list of what they have done. actually mine is £297 as i asked them to do a few bits like getting the intercooler spray to work and not dribble out. plus really bad knocking noise from the rear and for once it wan't the shocks (it was them last time) it was a creeky boot joint, under the parcel shelf. I think my 30k was about £450.
