Default prodrive pack

Hi guys my new subaru has a prodrive performance pack on it.

My question is what exactly is a prodrive pack ?

I know they remap the ecu and put on a prodrive exhaust but what else do they do ?

cheers tufty

Depends what year car you have. Take a look at Home | Subaru (UK) Ltd. for full details of the pack for relevant years.

Default prodrive

Can you see the blue silicon y pipe under the hood
I ask as i don't think the car has the certificate for the prodrive pack and i want to make sure it does have the pack on and not just the exhaust.
cheers tufty

Yes it is just to the left of the intercooler if it hasn't a PPP cert I personally would be concerned.

Never take a dealer at their word, they are trying to sell you the car after all. It should have a cert if it has a PPP.

Isn't there someone you call call to check if you have the chassis number?

Aye, MUST MUST MUST have the certificate. Any fool can buy and fit the prodrive parts and it may not be mapped to the PPP map in that case. NO Cert no sale IMHO. When I sold my car it was sold with the certificate, silver door sticker and my invoice from dealer fitment. You are paying £1000 more over normal dealer WRX prices on average, don't believe anything unless you are looking at it.

i wouldn't be that worried, just keep a copy of the advert and your receipt. ask for a copy of the cert but don't leave it too long. mine came without one i did the above and took it to a rolling rd to see what readings i got, i think if you ring subaru uk with the vin number and reg they can confirm it, or maybe prodrive but not 100%
