Question

this Saturday. Anyone know how much it's going to cost me, I've got a UK300 not sure if that makes any difference in costs.

Your looking at around £100, same as your 1000 miler + labour (say £50)

Mines going in on Friday and they've said that it only take an
hour, won't give me a loan car.
Thats not bad money for a quick change of the oil and filter.

P1ss takers, but all main dealers(whatever manufacturer) are the same I suppose.
Bad news is that my wife's Forrester has to go in the week after, double wammie!:eek

Mine's in on saturday for her 7.5k too. Reckoned about £100 but the bloke on the phone said it would take 50 minutes - so the hourly rate is £120 then?

Gammon you've also got to take into account the cost of the parts, approx. £50.

My dealer always offers me a car... though I usually end up staying and having a laugh with them (plus they have good coffee and hot chocolate).

Most of time on the 1k and 7.5k service is taken up by washing the car!!

Just wait till you get up to the longer services... 22.5k is my next one.

Got my 15K service a week on Saturday (UK300), dealer always offers me a car, but this time I'm just going to snooze in their reception area and drink their coffee. I didn't think the 7.5K service cost was unreasonable, fairly average price I would say and cheaper than my Audi A4 services were.

Seamus, how much do you drive your car, 15,000 you couldn't of had the car more then 7 months. Actually I have another question. When I took my car in for it's first service I really noticed a difference in the power. Obviously this was mainly due to the fact that I could'nt go over 4000rpm, but just before taken it in I did give the car a boot just to see how it was over 4000 and it didn't seem to want to know. After the service the accleration was just mental all the way through the revs. My question is will it improve again after the next service?

I drive it a lot! I got it mid July last year (No 64). I have a 55 mile each way commute each day, I think I am keeping Shell in business at the moment. As for power I did not notice anything significant after the 1K service, however they probably have flushing oil in for the run in period, then put decent stuff in after (however I stand to be corrected). I had the PPP fitted at the 7.5K service, I noticed a difference in power then!
