Default What's it worth?

Apologies for another what's my scooby worth thread.....

Had a slight accident which unfortunately no amount of T-Cut is going to sort Highly likely it will be written off so want to know what the value is so I'm not getting shafted by my insurers. If anyone has a Glasses guide to hand that would be much appreciated (got a rough idea from Parkers but it's not mileage adjusted etc.).

MY00/X UK Classic Turbo 2000 Saloon, 111k miles, was in average condition, don't suppose it'll make any difference but did have the air-con option.

Cheers,

Graz

I did have a Glass guide but I sold it recently. Depends on what valuation you're looking for I suppose. Trade price won't be a great deal, but I'd say 3.5-4k is the money you should expect to get offered from the insurance co.

I traded in my MY00 uk turbo a few months ago, 50000 miles, needed about £500 worth of body work done, for £5,000. I think the private sale price was £6,500 but in view of the fact it needed work and they seem to take ages to sell privately, thought the p/x price was reasonable.

Default Whats it worth.

Hi mate ive got the glasses guide on the computer.
An x reg uk turbo (208bhp) with 111k on it books at £2753, does seem a bit on the low side though.

Hope that helps.

Regards Dan

Thanks

Having had a look on Autotrader at some similar ones as well something around £4k seems reasonable. I guess if they offer me more than 3.5k I'll be lucky

It was worth more to me than that before it got bent

Anyone know where you stand with getting mods back if they do write it off?

Had a set of Prodrive P1 alloys on it (£1000 new), have the old ones in the garage so I can swap them back but I didn't want to do that before the insurance had made their decision as they don't have much tread on the tyres. H&S full de-cat too, though that's harder to swap over

Do I get the tax disc back as well?

Sorry for all the questions, never had a car written off before

If you've declared your mods then you should get the replacement value of them. However, if the accident was your fault and you then go to your insurers with a list of non listed mods they might reduce your payout significantly or even deny it altogether.

I'd imagine you can claim whatever tax you had back too, I'm not sure though.
