Default Evo review of new WRX and STi

Morning all.

Just got EVO Magazine through the post, they were none too impressed with the WRX or the STi. STi was Jap version driven in Japan.

Gave them 3 stars and barely a good word to say !

Nothing new there then I will as always, drive one myself first and make my own mind up

I never taken any notice of the "know it all" motoring press

I agree with Tony, although EVO are prob the best reviewers of cars, some of the other sh*te that people write i take with a pinch of salt.

Just read it myself and it did fail to shine, fantastic review of the new GT-R though, would love of of those bad boys.

Maybe a few cosmetic changes to the STi could sort the looks for starters. ie - red rear light clusters, different grill, wheels maybe?
Interior sounded a bit bad although I don't know any jap car with good quality plastics.
Whatever is wrong with the set-up I'm sure a reputable tuner will sort it!

You are right, however there are apparantly already plans afoot to change it, similar to the bugeye syndrome.

So you buy one, change loads and 2 years later you are pumped heavily on depreciation, who is going to take that chance??, only people with to much money or someone who has to have the latest of everything, although each to their own,

i for one think the STi is not good enough package to take on the high end of the "Hot Hatch" Market.

Rumours reckon that the UK spec car

1) diffrent grill
2) WRC Style front bumper
3) Two levels of PPP 340bhp and 400bhp

But apparently Subaru don't want the rear lights changed

So like most internet rumours will probably be the complete opposite

I'll wait and see want UK has to offer before buying a JDM version
