is anyone else struggling to get excited about the new impreza?
i'm really finding it hard to 'get into' the new impreza, to the point that i find myself drifting off when i'm reading a review. just given up on the third attempt to read the review on the sti in jap performance nothing wrong with the write up style, i just can't be arsed
i know this is just another thread having a moan about the look of it, but i'm not even bothered if it's twice as quick as mine, it's a dog. the whole range is a dog and the sti is no different.
sorry to rant, just a bit gutted that my current scoob will be without a doubt the last impreza i ever buy.
any future owners, you'll still get a wave i'll just apologise now for the flecks of vomit you'll get splattered with as you drive by.

I think the new STi looks ok actually. Proof will be when seen in the flesh and getting behind the wheel.
Might go read those reviews in Jap Perf you mentioned.

I'm not especially liking the look, but that's their decision, so financially they've made their bed........... Personally I will wait till I see a new STI in the flesh and make my mind up then if I like it or not.

I'm sure few people got excited when the Classic Impreza was launched or many even knew about it at all, No doubt in time posts will appear on here raving how good it is and who's just brought one!

As has been said many times, let's give it the benefit of the doubt- until you actually drive the ****** who knows if it's exciting or not? I didn't used to like Scoobs at all, until I drove a friend's classic and it got me hooked a few years ago - I'm still not a great fan of the looks, it's more the experience behind the wheel.

The EVO looks ten times better inside and out (in pictures anyway).
As Jaybird says, 30K+ is a lot to spend on a car when my WRX was 15K new.
I really don't know what I'd buy next, so I'm going to hang on to my Blob for a while yet.

Evo gave it a hard time in this months mag - apparently it has a shift light for fuel economy if you have it in the 'soft' settings.
They did reserve final judgement unil they test a UK car on UK road though....

in my opinion it is going to be the best hot hatch around, just a real shame they sacraficed the true impreza to make it.
if you were looking for a new hatchback what one would you buy?

This months Evo is not good reading. They took out the new JDM STI and noted that there was considerable turbo lag They did mention that the UK model should be better, as although we are still getting the (stupidly old hat) single scroll turbo model, the fact that we have low boost pressure ( ) and 2.5 should perhaps reduce the lag.
They also went on to say that in order to have an enjoyable drive, each time you get into the car you will have to disable all the electronic aids, and remember to have the engine map in sport or sport + mode *sigh*
I foresee some tweaks being needed before it will really appeal to current owners.
