When you say import, where are you importing from ?

If you buy it through one of the companies who specialise in imports, you don't have to worry about it. Having put my own car through a standard SVA test when I brought it back from Japan (note standard SVA, not an Enhanced SVA which your car will need), it simply isn't worth the hassle doing it yourself.

Euro models are quite easy, though its cheaper in the long run to buy from an importer, JDM cars on the other hand are somewhat more complicated, ie you need a model report for them, and this isnt available to the public (only Litchfields hold model reports for the MY06/07 JDM spec cars, NO one else does!)

I reckon a certain two companies would be a lot better off if they settled there differences and concentrated on replying to there potential customers e-mails and PM's .

You guys are losing site of what you are in business to do . Why not stop point scoring and just focus on selling some cars

All of course IMHO
