Default What's it worth.....1997 STi 2 door

Sorry, another annoying "what's it worth" thread!

But genuinely, I've been out of Subaru circulation for so long, I've no idea of prices.

Friend thinking of selling....

- 1997 STi 2 door in yellow
- 47k miles (ish)
- Its some sort of special commemorative edition but basically I think its a V2
- Some nice spec, stainless, prodrive alloys etc
- Recently had 4 new pistons fitted by Subaru.
- Does drive very well and is kept minted.

££££'s.....roughly????

Cheers

It will either be a late version 3 Type R or an early version 4 Type R.
Both of these still fetch very good money. For a standard car you can expect to get anything upto £8000 for a nice V4

That being the case, I think it will be the V3. It has the old style dashboard by the newer style bonnet.

I was thinking it would be worth putting it in at 7500 and taking 7000 for it?

Seem fair?

sounds fair to me but it is a rare beast in yellow so don't be haggled with on price.

Yeah, it will be rare, but also it will appeal to fewer people in yellow so might be trickier to sell that say a silver or blue one.

Sorry I don't agree that is like saying WR1's will struggle to sell as they are light blue? It makes them more desirable as not many people have one.
