Im sorry but where did you people do these runs??
Sub 13 secs for a standard type R, i dont think so.
Mid 13 secs yes but no lower for a standard car.
Were you all racing down hill?

So my V4 Type R with full decat, link ecu with map, and a k+n ind kit was obviously not running right since it did a 13.1 at 105mph at Santa pod. That was launching the car too.
Just to give a comparison, at the time I was racing my mates V6 Type R with similar mods and he only managed 13.5 at 103!!!
Dont even think about sayin that were both usless at qtr miles, as we have both been to Santa pod at least 5 times each

I was launching mine, and also had near perfect reaction times.. but I can't explain the differences to be honest??

Subaru say 13.3 1/4 mile at just over 100 mph terminal speed, though I doubt yuo will see many under 13, you have to be quite abusive to get the best standing starts out of these cars.

My Type R has a Scoobyclinic system, fuel pump and remap, running 316bhp, hence standard ish, and i did my 13.3@107 at shakespere, have ran many 13.4`s at Santa pod too, and not one with a 60ft below 2 seconds (yes i know i`m being a sissy with the starts) I have no doubt that it would do a 12 with a propper launch. I usully run at the pod/shakespere 4/5 times a year, i`d imagaine some on here go way more often than that, and I personally have witnessed more than 1 standardish Type R drop into the 12`s.

Times vary on so many things when it comes to quarter miles! There isn't any point saying a standard type R does this or does that cos it all depends on the car itself and the driver is probably the biggest thing as you can have 2 very different times with 2 different drivers driving the same car...

anyone who says crail gives better times than other drag strips obviously hasn't been there at all or very often. The surface is so bad and it isn't downhill much at all. I think i would get better times at any other venue.
