Thinking about joining the darkside
Will be moving abroad within a year. So i've been thinking, why not own/drive an Evo before i go.
Don't have a fortune to spend, around the £18k mark.
Don't want to give up the pace either, so was thinking about an Evo 8 MR FQ320/340 with decent mods to be close to the magic 400.
There seems to be so many different models, like the old classics.
This the model i should be lOOking at??

Really really weird Gaz. I think we have a connection................
I've recently been toying with the thought of a Gunmetal 340 MR (like Lukeys). Looking on the MLR there have been some for sale at decent money mapped to around 400 bhp.
Not 100% sure what to do yet so going to get Xmas out of the way and have a think but feel its just something I need to do to get it out of my system once and for all.
Thinking of a test drive but worried that I'll want one!

Since the day I went out in a mates evo6 i've always wanted one. But after owning a Scooby I can't help but feel it is a step sideways. I think the impreza is more than a match for it and the flat 4 sounds so much better than any evo If you want to change then the only way to go is a skyline

Just been reading some comments on the results from the Top Gear survey.....you know...the one based upon customer satisfaction and stuff.....
Well........apparently, the Mitsubishi Evo came second to bottom on running costs and apparently many owners (even though expecting pretty expensive costs) were shocked at just how much they cars cost to run, insure and maintain.
Also one in three owners said "never again".
I did however (as you'd expect) score well on driving experience.
Oh yeah...comments were in Top Gear magazine, so I guess they would know the results.
The Impreza didn't fare much better mind you!!!!!!
