This is the sweet spot of Impreza ownership. Buy a good car for peanuts, change the oil regularly, other than that do no maintenance whatsoever and run it into the ground.
Rat car that with a cheap remap will thrash most hot hatches.

tis a bad sign for most owners though....(mostly time of year) i have an sti wagon fully loaded and have it on my site for 4 grand. pristine !!!!!! didnt even get an offer or a bid on ebay starting at 3500 with full defi setup coilovers, momos, 4 new tyres etc etc etc.............just shows you that people dont want to pay decent money for cars...regardless of mileage, condition.....especially ebay which i use mostly for advertising reasons....so a t plate for sub 2 grand is great....seen a s plate saloon at auction which was reserved at 3300 !!!!!!!! crazy !

I'll second that, car engines nowadays go on and on, mine has 101k and its perfectamundo - I treat it very well, warming and cool down, regualar oil - small price to pay in the long run

Agree with the milage comments, mine has 113K on it, it's running 330BHP and is driven how they are supposed to be and apart from the odd sensor here and there it has been pretty good.

It's serviced on the dot with quality oil and has always been run on V power/optimax.

and yes, someone got a bargin
