Default New age maf Price?

Been into the dealers today to order a maf for 02sti. Anyway i was led to believe from threads on here that they were around £70-£80. Asked the dealer for price and i have been quoted £249.16+vat. After nearly falling over i said ' i only want the sensor not the pipe work as well'. He said 'that is for just the sensor, Its different to the wrx' so thats why its dearer.

He's given me a part number 22680AA310

Anybody got any ideas if this is the right price? Or where to source a new one cheaper?

Mel

That's the same part numbers as a WRX (and Forester ST/XT)

This may help: https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...lp-needed.html

Exclamation

I've just fitted a new MAF to my 05 wrx (FWIW exactly the same # etc as an 06 JDM spec C) . Stealer gave me the exact same response, claiming the part number I gave him related to the whole air box lid, when infact it's just the sensor..! The thieving b@s*^% only want to sell you the whole thing to rip £250 off you..!

Anyhow, Bob Rawle supplied one for ~£100 inc P+P iirc.

Why do you need a maf sensor?

Just woundering as my ECU came up with a maf error code (no eml), I cleared the code and its never came back.

Thanks for that guys. Bob mapped my car so i have his details. Just cant believe that subaru dealer are taking the **** so much on price. I'm glad i told him to stick it. Thing is people will pay this £250 without a clue they can be had for less than half the price.
