looks like a uk300. Not an import if it is but i have had very bad customer experiences from said dealer

Out of interest why not an import? Don't be put of by insurance etc its a myth.

There was definately a SWRT spedial edition, not sure if it was called that in this country, but they were released in Europe under that name.

It's a WRX WR-Limited which was released at the same time as the 2005 Spec C Type RA - August 05.

Cheers

Hi what you are looking at is a euro spec car.
I've got one, it was imported from Malta by Ian Litchfield.
The car is same as a WRX 300 and as it is a euro spec car all the bits are the same as a uk car so no big suprises on parts from you dealer.
Only one slight difference the service times are different 5K instead of 7.5.
As for the STI spoiler i've got that aswell it was a £500 option including sat nav, bargain the spoiler is £800 plus paint and fitting in the UK and the sat nav was £1800.
If you want to know more please ask.
Simon.

I bought one from Allbrandsnew in July '05,brand new.

Normal servicing schedule is as per a UK car(every 10k),the 5k services aren't obligatory, just advisable depending upon climate.

Hi my service book is in 5k intervals, but as you say it's down to climate, i'm not that bothered about it because an oil change is a lot cheaper than an engine or a turbo.
Cheers Simon.

Just a thought how many of these are there? when i had mine from Litchfields i was told that there were 15 in Malta and Ian had imported 5 of those, the car was also available in Cyprus so no doubt some came from there.
So any other takers?
Cheers Simon.

Almost correct....

I thought that the SWRT come with high level spoiler anyway...maybe not.

WRX300 comes with PPP as standard, EDM SWRT Limited edition does not. And I believe your seat has the 'lump'? WRX300 does not come with Sat Nav

Though I see that Iain offered PPP as an option.....but it was not 'standard' as it was on the WRX300

Hi Marky as i said before the spoiler and sat nav were a £500 upgrade.
As for the lump in the seat do you mean the black bit at the front in the middle?
And i have PPP fitted, cost £1900 and fitted at 1K with first service.
Cheers Simon.

Yep, thats what I mean....I did talk with Subaru in Malta about getting those seats, but it was a no go....(though I still do not know why). The normal (albeit SWRT branded) ones in the WRX300 were really uncomfortable...

The number plate is now registered to a 2007 Legacy.

The SWRT have come up before and I am sure they were imported versions of the WRX300.

Nothing special about them really, better off with an SL version of the WRX with leather seats and pay £75 for the matching fogs from a dealer.

Good find Mark, you are right about the STi spoiler aswell I remember that being contested in the last thread.

Not an 'official' model as far as my usual point of reference goes.

Ahh, but as it (WRX300) was a genuine model 'with' PPP the insurance was much less than a WRX SL + PPP.... that was the only reason I got it!
