I have always found that Tesco Fuel does not last as long as Shell V-Power...

Would you agree with this?

Agree also i always used to get 20-30 miles more from a tank of V power than i did with Tessco 99

Never really watched it that closely to be honest. A week of driving for me varies so much from being stuck in traffic to cruising up a motorway, its impossible to tell.

My goal is 200 to a tank, as long as it does that, im happy lol

 

Blimey my goal is 300!!! (usually 270/80 though)

filled up yesterday 47 litres covered 292 miles.

EDIT: just worked out that's 28 mpg!!

 

I can get way into the high 200's if im on A roads etc, but sadly the south london daily commute, stop start does not do nice things to the consumption.

My average fill up is about 45-47 litres too.

v power,on £20 at £1.02 litre i can get about 120 miles.

tesco crap,about 100-110 before im brimming it.

odly tho,colleagues opel manta A, is better on tesco stuff than v power and tesco lasts longer in his than v power !

I used to get better miles with Optimax, V power and T99 seem pretty similar.

 

I get miles more on BP Ultimate than any other.

 

V Power,Tesco 99,BP Ultimate have always been very much a muchness with any car i've had tbh.

The only fuel i always seemed to get low mileage with was Texaco SUL.

Yep i agree also, get more miles to the gallon from V power

 

Not a big enough difference for me to tell.... each tank gets between 250 and 275 miles no matter what gets put in there (Tesco 99, Shell V Power, BP Ultimate or ESSO SUL). Currently on T99 as the local stations now have it, saving me the 5 mile round trip to the nearest Shell.

Haven't used Tesco 99 that often, but gut feeling is it seems to disappear a bit quicker than V-power. That seems to be only difference between the two for me.

 

how big are the fuel tanks mate i got a s reg import sti?
people keep saying there 50ltrs but if run till the light comes on i can get bout 52-53ltrs in making me think it might be 60ltrs

 

From fuel light on my 05wrx I'd struggle get 50 ltrs in, depends on how long the lights been on obviously..

The general consensus seems to be there's around 10ltrs/2gal from fuel light (reserve) on the newage cars. I once ran about 30 mile on light (absolutely bricking it as I was lost Salford trying to find ANY petrol station..

Never again..!

 

I get 330-340 miles to a tank with Vpower and about 300-310 miles on any other super unleaded with a '03 WRX PPP, so a pretty significant ~10% difference.

This is mainly motorway driving averaging 80 or so.
