I didn't know about the wave until about a week after ownership!
I find older Scooby drivers don't bother, the ladies rarely bother and early morning drivers look to asleep.
I mainly get waves from/give to drivers between 21-45.
All this is very generalised of course and I am sure there are many of the above groups that are friendly and wave! This is just what I have found over the past few months.

Opposite for me, classics wave most of the time except for the wagons.
Newage drivers i find the worst offenders, think they're better for having a newer car, how vain.

I noticed that when I sold my Scoob and bought the car I now own that no Scoobs wave at me in my car that isn't a scoob. I too no longer wave at scoobs as I dont drive a scoob. I do however wave at cars containing people who have been in my house and have left and got into said car. I tend to do this regardless of the marque and normally from my doorstep. I did this last night at 11.37pm, the car was a white peuguot 406. The driver didnt wave at me because we werent known to each other. He was a taxi driver. The passengers all waved back though. Which was nice.
I always used to wave at other scoobs. I even used to get waves when I owned my Celica before the scoobs, but now I just use my waves for said doorstep departures, attracting the attention of 'Mrs Abdabz to be' across busy shops and averting inquisitive wasps.

I always give a wave or a flash, or if your lucky you might get both!
Dont always get a responce though, mainly its women, or people who have a brand new car and are stuck so far up there own **** that they can be arsed to waste the energy in moving there hand to give a little wave!

I found this out about 15 minutes in to my first time driving a Scoob. I was actually only test driving it at the time too.
I always wave at other Scoobs, unless I'm trying to actually steer around corners or don't spot them.
