Default Bob's put the grin back!!

I had the car mapped by Bob Rawle this afternoon and it he has put the grin factor back.

Was 338bhp/312ft/lbs now a mental 380bhp/380ft/lbs

Thanks Bob for nice day out.

I expect Bob can give you rundown on how it works, but he needed to know my body weight to add to car weight and his, then floor it in forth gear from 1800 rpm to red line gives wheel power.

Nice one, I'm booked in next week with Bob. How does it drive now? Does it pull more from 50-100?

Yes, mine is the same. Like a different car. So glad I had it remapped now I have to say. Not only is it far quicker, but it is also easier to drive as endless gear changes of the 6 speed box are no longer absolutely necessary.

As long as it takes which is the great thing with bob though usually about 3 hours start to finish. As for scarey it can be! - i had my mapping sessino the day after the massive snowfall last Feb. Doing the power runs down a pitch black, slusshy road with car headlights heading down side roads was a little

It aint scary, it's fun.

The only difficult bit I found was the part where you have to get between certain points on the rev counter without going over 0.5bar boost... now that was tricky!

Apparently mapping it on the road and opposed to on a RR makes quite a difference...

i'm guessing you had to change the actuator as well? My JDM STI got 370/370 with a few more mods, the external temp being around 6 degrees.

Assuming your car has the standard VF turbo that's a damn good figure.

I would have thought must have been going down hill, with a tail wind and told him you weighed 140kg to get figures like that!

This car held boost very well, above average, std actuator still with well over 1.3 bar at the red line. Varboy, actually I got out and pushed being the fit sod I am. Car took ignition above average as well ... very good example. Credit to Merv.

cheers
