your best chance is to write a long handwrtten letter explaining what happened, trust me it works more if its handwritten.

Its difficult when you have multiple axles; you can be over the line when its green, creeping; and be photographed on red after the rear axles trigger the camera.....

This is the sort of thing that crops up over on 5ive-o, have a look in their motoring law forum: Motoring Law Questions / Answers - 5ive-o

Might be able to get some advice about how to respond.

what if you send a copy of the tacho disk to them. it will have the speed you where doing at the time you where snapped, and tell em in a letter that there was no way you could hit the brakes of a 44 toner and expecting it to stop on the line, or with out causeing a accident.

Because you are supposed to only travel at a speed from which you can stop in time when required. You have to be ready for a green light to change. This doesnt help the OP of course. You cant send your tacho chart away anywhere either, or youll end up in more trouble with the Ministry and the TC.

You can tell when people have never driven anything other than a car can't you?

As for the "only travel at a speed from this you can stop in the time required". Nice in theory.. given the timings of some traffic lights you'll end up approaching every single set at about 15mph.. that'll be awfully appreciated in a 60/70 I'm sure!

I think it's well worth writing in and trying to get around this.

Worth a letter at least.

No, you cant, as you have shown (and shown yourself up) quite clearly. I have an HGV licence and I drive something 30x larger than a car every day.

From the nonesense in your post and your lack of understanding, it would appear that you do not.....

Regards

Simon

That's correct ...You do brake....
If the vehicle behind hits you, then they have either been too close / going too fast to stop in time/ not paying attention etc.
Either way. You do not get done, even if the accident causes another vehcile to shove a 44 ton truck over the line....

I wouldn't worry about 'Simon 69'... he tends to get himself worked up into a state as evidenced when he was posting as 'GC8' and vowed to leave scoobynet for good. Nobody batted an eyelid.

Perhaps he thought that by registering himself a new username and coming slinking back on he would somehow bypass the humiliation of his embarrassing U-turn.
