Default SERIOUS 4 WHEEL DRIFT...SELBORNE RD

saw the weather was nice today so thought id take the type r out 4 a lil hammering...im sorry but i have to rate myself for this maneouver i pulled off

coming out of selborne road in walthamstow (east london) at an emotional speed i felt the back end kicking out so thought f**k it powered over and sustained an absolutely serious drift which made me feel like a don...you see i was used to all this in my lightly tuned fd3 rx7 but to sustain that in a scooby felt awesome...there was a scooby estate at the lights who was flashing me like mad...was it you??? lollllllllllllll

Sounds good mate!

Don't listen to the nay sayers.. Who buys a Scooby to drive it sensibly? As long as you weren't putting others at any risk then it's all gravy.

Don't worry about it his day will come and the next time you read about it, it will go something like this .......

''I was driving along at normal speeds and all of a sudden the back end came out without warning and I hit a tree. What could have gone wrong''?

Macdonalds car park will be better off without him

True.

We all know what these cars are capable of, we drive them everyday so why people feel the need to come one here to tell all and sundry about how for one moment of their lives they thought they were 'Petter on stage' beats me.

I'll give him the benefit and say he wouldn't have decided to drift should other people have been in the line of fire....so I stand by my earlier comment....sweet as **** mate!

I agree - as long as there was no danger to anyone else i think its sweet.

End of the day if he sends it into a tree then its his own fault -

Why buy a performance car if your not going to drive it properly, u maywell save your money and buy a zafira - cheaper to run as well

I'm surprised the word "properly" used in that context hasn't (so far) been the subject of some comment?

You were probably loosing control of the car at the time and had a lucky escape ..........

Back end out = ''Oh my god what's happening i'm going to die''. Later in the pub it's translated into, ''yeah man I was going round this bend right, the back kicked out dinnit, so I nailed it and held it in a drift for 400 yards, sweeeeeet''

Why do so many people on this thread keep saying ''sweet'' or is it just another example of the kind of owners the Impreza is attracting?

The playstaton generation all growed up and out on the roads.

Cult performance cars attract people for all sorts of reasons and as the values drop so can the quality of the owners, not all bnut you can get undesirables driving all sorts.

Saying in the trade: Before a car becomes a classic, it becomes cheap!

And yes, that does mean exactly what you think it means!

Fair play to you mate I find myself taking off auto dccd and wacking it to free a few times now pulling out of junctions when the road is clear and just planting my foot down, a quick back end out and then to a straigten up gets ur adrenaline going, and depending where you do it, its not dangerous!

Get yourself a rwd car and learn proper car control... Real 4 wheel drifts are only for circuits and wet ones make it abit easier. To be getting a 4 wheel drift on a dry road you either had to be really giving it some or more likey it was probably just a little squirt of slide not really a drift

prince of toyko
you'll get no praise from me.
as a long term owner of subaru's...... prat's like you give us all a bad name. You are breaking the law "dangerous driving" "without due care" are just some of the laws you have broken/ lucky you didnt kill someone.
go and do it sideways at a rally school or track day not the public highway.
