Looking into putting a replacement rear spolier on my UK99, and everyone seems to make them out of different materials, which is the best one, or are the differences insignificant?

So far looking at Scoobysport's, and a huge range of STi5/6 and 22B replicas.

Cool

How about some loo rolls and a couple of fairy liquid bottles?

Probably take ages waiting for the contents of the fairy bottles to be used up if you believe the ads...

Sorry... I am sure someone will have a serious answer for you!

I'm sure I've seen one made on Art Attack from papier mache. MUCH cheaper than the megabucks required for most replacements. Sorry Matt.

I'm always amazed at the amount folks are willing to pay for a few plastic, c.fiber whatevers; grills, reflector bits, STi lamp covers etc. I'm a victim of the mod mania too, but baulk at the circa £650 for a new spoiler* that's mainly just cosmetic.
(*inc the dreaded VAT and colour coding)

Matt,
I'll get my kids to make you one for the next Cotswold meet.

Thumbs up

Matt,
Each material has its pros and cons, at the end of the day, the quality of the design and construction is the most important thing.
I dont think that it is right that you should buy a spoiler and then have to pay a body shop to finish off rough edges and think of some way to attach the thing!
Best off finding one at the price you are willing to pay and ask if anyone else has had one before buying, to see if its any good.
Hope this helps, Rob.

I don't agree with my SS spoiler being a cosmetic treat only. High speed stability is much better now (on my 01WRX).
