How about one where we can record comments on people buying and selling stuff. That way when looking in the for sale and wanted you can gauge the buyer or seller from prev experiance. Similar idea to that on QXL.
ie I could post a thread called demondave and people could add their comments with reference to me selling and buying stuff
Views ?

What about an FAQ forum where all the threads are locked ie. readonly and moderators and dump useful stuff from other forums as we seemed to be asked teh same series of question from newbies ?

I thought that one of the main reasons for this forum was so that us "newbies" could ask people with more experience questions about Subaru's...How about we set up another forum called "No Newbies allowed, coz we are too good for them"...remember..once you also knew relatively little about the problems some of us "newbies" encounter!!!

That wasnt what I meant and I always try and share info newbies or oldbies, I guess a lot of people are put off by posting for thg efirst time and they seem to have the same questions, just thought it could be used as a resource. Obviously I was wrong .

I was looking for something in the SIDC FAQ found it then realised that it doesn't cover my car at all!
I guess newbies (myself included) will have to continue to as 'dimwit' questions until either we get hold of the new Haynes manual or the SIDC FAQ is updated.
BTW I am not having ago at SIDC in anyway, I do appreciate that it is run by people that do have full-time jobs.

Newbies may ask the same questions but I would be surprised if the answers are always the same eg new products etc, and many answers are based on opinion- which leads to discussion / debate / argument- the whole point of a discussion forum? Otherwise it just becomes an encyclopedia.
