Default turbo in a 2.5i wagon?

i bought a 2007 impreza 2.5i wagon (wanted a WRX but couldnt afford the insurence) and i want to know about putting a turbo in it (do i have to buy a kit? or can i just throw one in there?
i know very little about cars and just wanna know wat are some small unexpensive ways to up my horse power a little.

Its not that straight with too many things needing changing or upgrading.

But the biggies are :-

Engine, gearbox, rear diff, ecu, loom, brakes and suspension.

If you fit a turbo your insurance would end up the same as a WRX or worse as it's then a modded car & not a standard one.
