Remote control Scoob info please!
#1
Hello all,
I really fancy getting a Scoob remote controlled car (especially due to the big one being off the road ast the mo )- electric not petrol but a good one, even one I could compete with in club type situation.
Could any point me towards what I should be looking at and even anyone on the board who sells them etc.
Would really appreciate any advice, and if anyone coulld build it/decorate it for me, that would be bloomin' marvellous as I am a lazy and rather clumsy git!
Thanks!
Jon

Mossman,
I had an HPI electric car and that was superb, don't buy a Tamiya, I made that mistake
My brother has a Schumacher STi 99 Pro (funny that eh ) and that is really good too, kept up with my HPI even tho the HPI cost about 50 quid more
They are both lovely, carbon fibre bits, alloy bits, go like a rocket too...

I have an Impreza Wrc -special edition car (petrol engine) and i think it is by Kyosho but cannot be positive - the box is back in Scotland. The car is the fastest thing i've ever seen remote control wise.
I used to have a few growing up , and by far the fastest battery car i ever found was definately a Kyosho one.

Ain't got a scoob RC but got a Megane 1/5th scale with 22cc engine.
Great fun, 0-75 in 3 secs with the right gearing, front discs etc etc.
Only downside is you need a lot of room to play with them and make sure no-one is too close 'cause if it hits you it'll break a leg.
Might try and find a Scoob shell to replace the Renault's.

Jon,
I've been thinking about getting one. Used to have Tamiya's when I was lad (fecking long time ago). I'd prefer a petrol unit, as the batteries are usually only good for 20 mins, I've heard of tweek electric ones running for less!
You know what its like round my area - nice big park opposite house and paved courtyards at the back - ideal.
Let me know what you end going for.
Ric
PS - whats up with WRX

I want a proper race sometime... no one can keep up
On the car note - I've seen some mighty fine nitrous cars on the web. I think i have a link somewhere, they look pretty quick and from what i've heard they are like lightening
