I've posted a thread on Technical but no help!

I have a smell from my clutch when I have been giving it a lot of stick & I just wondered if this is normal?! I have also noticed that over the last few days when I press the pedal to the floor to select a gear it makes a very quiet griding sort of noise. Do you think my clutch is on its way out?! xx

Might be worthwhile getting it done sooner rather than later as it could knacker the flywheel ( I think thats right anyway)

A smell is normal if you have been doing fast starts with quite a bit of slip.

The grinding noise when you press down the pedal sounds like the release bearing.

If you get a grinding noise as the clutch starts to bite, then the clutch is worn to the rivets.
