Are worn road tyres OK for track use?
#1
Hi guys and girls
I was wondering if it is safe to use worn road tyres (ie just illegal) for track use or is this dangerous?
Also when they get near to 'slick' state does this mean they are definitely not to be used?
Any one who has ideas or has done this, advice would be appreciated
Thank very much
Rikki

worn tyres are OK for track, the reduced tread block height means they don't overheat as easily. Just don't go crazy if it's really wet.
