Default Which classic imprezza's came with Electic controlled diff?

Hi all,

Am in the processes of trying to decide what car to but next, was wondering which classic scoobys come with the electic controlled diff?

I know the sti type r's do but do any others? red somewhere that wrx type ra did aswell?

Also in a nutshell what does it do?> lol and does it do it well? lol

I asume it transfers the ballance of power from front to back in various ratios??

Thanks in advance

Dave (struggling to choice a car) :-(

Type R STi & Type RA STi have the DCCD mate.

In a nutshell it means you have to drive the car & not vice versa.

Lots of oversteer in fully open - be careful until you're used to it.

More info on the Type RA here www.type-ra.co.uk

Cheers

I saw a type R for this price - rang the guy and it tunred out to be Cat D, never remapped for UK fuel and had no alarm or imobiliser on it. guy had driven it around for a year since importing -The Cat D saga was a new bonnet and bumper only ....... but the bonnet was steel and not aluminuim. Ya pays for what you get so be careful.

hmmm, im gunna struggle to buy a decent one methinks, 2 years ago i 'tryed' to join the impreza fan club and looked at approx 8 classic normal wrx's and they were all with the exception of one dogs.....

How on earth am i gunna find a straigh type r if thats what im gunna go for? - I should really aim to buy off a dealer that way perhaps im covered some way.

Daves very confused (not sexually) lol

Don't get caught out by an 'Non STI' Type RA.

They are rare, but have a standard WRX engine and no electric diff.
