hi i have a 2004 wrx, i want to buy mobil 1 fully synthetic engine oil but i cant rememeber what ?W- ??W type it is .
any1 know or whats the best to use thanks

I use motul chrono 300v from the "oilman" at Opie Oils

I have used this since the stuff first appeared.

also what gear oil in thinks it type GL5 but what make?

Your HandBook should be your first port of call - I assume you have one in your Glovebox?

im at work so i dont have it with me and can order it on the works books

Look it up when you get to your car and order it tomorrow - I doubt that you have to order today ........ if so, you should have been prepared

According to API and Zen best to use 10w40 NOT as the handbook states 5w40

dont go above 10w50 though and make sure its fully synthetic

AS good as they are at what they do ..... I think I'll take the advice of my car maker

Agree on the 10w40, but thats a semi synthetic, fully synthetic (as subaru Japan produce the 3 following grades of fully synthetic oil for the cars) are 5w40, 15w50 and a 10w60
