Someone kindly smashed my passenger side window and stole my stereo.
As there is no other damage I intend to fit a new window myself.
Anyone know how much a window is likely to cost me what are the chances of picking one up at a breakers.

Carl,
On a MY00 UK 4 door the front left window is £100.?? + VAT the driver side front is £171.88 + VAT. the backs are £90.57 + VAT (drivers side) and £112.15 (passenger side) + VAT. The screen is £178.17 + VAT.
Don't know how much at breakers or availability.
I didn't write down the pence for the front left as at the time I was commenting along the lines of 'strolll on, an extra £78 for for the drivers side window compared to the passenger side window'.
These are genuine Subaru prices and can be beaten.
Try Bury Autoglass in Bury, Greater Manchester. (I don't have the number to hand)
Cheers MTR

Carl,
I had exactly the same done to me the week before Christmas - thieving bar stewards!!!
In the end I claimed on my insurance - only have to pay £60 excess, and also it doesnt count as a claim (I didnt bother claiming for the stereo). My local dealer also wanted circa £100+.
Hope this helps,
Mark.
