I sold a back box for £130 on Ebay to give you some indication.

Expect to get:

Back box £120-£180
Decat centre £80-£100
Sports cat downpipe £150-£220

If you are just planning an exhuast swap with no other major mods, a decat won't get you much more than your current system, apart from more noise TBH.
The Prodrive system is very effective yet quiet.

I thought the ppp exhaust from an STI was as good as a decat? and you have a sport cat to boot.

Question

the plan was to get rid of it and replace it with a decat at the mo i think there is 2 cats on it one in the middle and one on the down pipe, then an rc induction kit with remap. surely thats going to up bhp.

I think prodrive quote a 2% reduction in power from their sports cat over a decat downpipe. The difference you will notice is not from the bits you have changed, but from the resulting remap which you will need after decatting and fitting the induction kit. In other words remapping as it is now would give pretty much the same results IMO.

What you're thinking is a centre pipe cat is probably just a resonator to keep the noise levels down. If so this isn't particularly restrictive.

If it was my money I'd replace the back box if you want a different sound, add a K&N or Green panel filter and remap it. I wouldn't bother with induction kit as the standard airbox setup is fine till you get much higher power, the Sports cat downpipe is also fine and removes all the hassle at MOT time. You could also remove the resonated centre section if, after swapping the back box, you don't get the sound you were after.

Just my opinion based on the advice of others more knowlegable

The PPP at that age replaces the downpipe cat with the one with the wastegate bypass, and a new underfloor sports cat.

I've also been told by a reputable tuner that the increase with a decat over a sports cat is so marginal it isn't worth doing.

ok so just stick with the prodrive one then, a different filter and a remap? a good saving then. what would be the expected gain with just this.

around 330/330 from what i've been told. Might be good idea to buy a 3 port boost solenoid as it can control the boost better.

Shouldn't be expensive as they can be picked up off a classic scoob.

I sold my full ppp system for £350.00 and had loads of takers. Only changed as I was looking for 400bhp.

3 port boost solenoid is a good idea (I bought mine for £45.00 from an sti3 - connector needed modifying a little)

As rob says 330/ 330 is about right. Mine with the mods mentioned and standard VF35 in place made 332/300
