Default remap/chip options?

Right people, i have a 1995 wrx that is otherwise std aside a 3" turbo back exhaust. I've already done big brakes, suspension and wheels.

Now being a budget project what are my options regarding ecu?
I've seen, www.enduringsolutions.com/ and Products are there any other alternatives i need to know of? and are these essentially the same product i.e map?

just like to hear other peoples views and feedback on these and maybe other products.

thanks

Stu.

Never heard of enduring solutions mate. Though your products link goes to Polar Performance on here, which I believe is owned by an SN user called Scott T.

The optimal solution for mapping a pre-99 Subaru is an Apexi Power-FC replacement ECU mapped by an expert like Andy F, Paul from Zen performance or Jolly Green Monster.

There are other alternatives too, but I'd discuss them with one of the above so you get something that is good VFM and, above all, safe and effective.

ESL is the same as option 1 on polarperformance.
The Power FC is getting hard to come by for the early imprezas.
Scott T used to be involved in the scooby ecus which were very popular.

Also don't forget about Bob Rawle for mapping, he's based in Swindon.

So the opinion seems to be then that the options ive seen are risky to engine life then?
Now i dont want to go living on the edge just a nice sensible/reliable increase over the std 260bhp. I thought that would be easy to do and readily available. The car doesnt really warrant £600-700 for 20-30bhp tbh.

Option 1 or the esl chip is 'only' £200 and could see you upto 280+bhp (may need to uprate the fuel pump and perhaps the fpr).
If you do the engine mods carefully (i.e. ask the people who may be remapping/chipping your car) then the car will be fine service it properly and it will last a long time.
These products ARE readily avaliable and easy to do (the chip just needs to be soldered into the spare slot on the ecu board).
