Strange Smell???

Hi,
Hope somebody out there can help.
My STi MY94 has a strange smell (could be oily) after a longish run, very noticable when I reverse into a parking space. I seem to remember seeing something on a web site (not the SIDC one) about the wrong type of grease somewhere in the front suspension/wheels area but cannot find the site again.

In my previous car I noticed a strange smell which turned out to be gearbox oil. Have you checked for patches under your car?
I don't know about grease but would check that you do not have any leaks.(For the record mine turned out to be an LSD which had self-destructed which meant new LSD and complete gearbox strip and rebuild - not cheap).
