Hmmmmmm. Can't say what max boost a TD05 will take, I'm no expert. There are plenty on here though, real and imaginary

As for YOUR boost, well 13psi is only 1 bar. Mine, remapped by Bob Rawle, makes 1.35 bar, and that's a UK car with a TD04.

Recently, my turbo began making a "tinny rattling" noise. It turned out to be a loose wastegate.

When it was fixed, it ended up poorly adjusted, and would only make 1bar again. Taking it back for re-adjustment, has seen it easily make 1.35bar again.

I wonder if yours could be a wastegate problem?

Trouble is, I'm not sure what sort of boost your car ought to make, assuming it's standard?

WRX/STi Saloon ECU's 2C, U8, W6, W9 - As above, 11.47psi held to redline. Fuel-cut 14.57psi (u8,w6,2c standard 93wrx ecus).
14.5psi is 1 bar.
1.4bar is what i've been told by various mappers but obviously the turbo lifespan is going to be shortened.
