Yes, well, actually, I believe that they have to post it to you within 14 days, i.e. the NIP should be dated no less than 14 days after the 'offence'. You need to wait another day or two to be sure. Good luck.

Wow no N.I.P. So you openly admit to speeding? As you put it "court speeding" I think you'll find that should be "caught speeding." It's quite simple really, don't speed and you'll never get a N.I.P. Also, please use a spell checker before posting.

And you never speed with your 195/300 astra? What a pointless post by you, well done. Do you just troll around waiting for this type of post to preach at people?

As someone said above, give it a couple of days, but usually they are pretty swift with them. Good luck

The Police have to serve an NIP within 14 days of the offence. This has to be served on the Keeper (ie person on the log book). It can be done verbally or by post. So you could be in luck.

Are you on your period mate? No actually I don't speed! Just because you have a powerful car doesn't give you the right to speed. For all you know he could have been doing 60mph in a 30mph limit!! Tell you what, wind your neck in a couple of notches, and when you have something intelligent to say then come back and say it. I honestly hope he does get a N.I.P. that way he may slow down next time, and perhaps some child might live a long and happy life because of it.

See RTOA 1988 (road traffic offenders act 1988) for timescales.

The nip must be served (not sent, but served, important distinction) on the registered keeper within 14 days of the alleged offence date.

Dave if neck winding needs done its yours mate! I never said it does give you the right to speed, just stating that I severly doubt your all rosey and angel like yourself! As you say, he could of been doing 60 in a 30, but he could also have been doing 46 in a 40, which from the fact he hasnt got a ticket, would be more than likely.

Do you not understand? Speeding is an absolute offence! There is no leeway, if you are going 57 in a 50 limit you are speeding and that is that. Now, the A.O.C.P.O. have in their wisdom decided that in most places the speed at which a ticket will be issued is, the speed limit plus 10% plus 1 or 2 mph depending on where you live. This is still speeding!!! If the posted limit is 50mph then that is speed for that particular stretch of road, it isn't 57mph. Otherwise the posted limit would be 57mph, Jesus are you thick or what? Look at the end of the day speeding is speeding, if you get caught take it on the chin, don't whinge and whine and say "oh I think I've got away with it" just pay up take the 3 points and learn from it................................................ .........If you want to put your foot down there are still plenty of roads that don't have camera's or bobbies in vans watching them, at least they are probably safer to do it on. Of course if you get caught then I refer the gentleman to the reply I gave a few moments ago.

There's no need for that! Just a quick check over of what you have written, ensuring that all spellings are correct, and that grammar is in order before posting will be fine!

Yes because every time someone exceeds the posted speed limit a child dies.

I also believe that everytime you pass a traffic light on amber a kitten dies! I therefore ensure I always stop as soon as I see the amber light come on. Remember the kittens, please.

Misty, you forgot to put a comma after "Wow no N.I.P." It should have read, "Wow, no N.I.P." Please check your grandma before pisting.

No! I think you'll find that I did use the correct grammar. "No" is not one of the coordinating conjunctions which require a comma after the word preceding it.

Is it? Well, I don't want to **** down your back and tell you it's raining but!

Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) have an official formula for calculating a speeding offence. It allows a leeway of 10% plus 2mph.
So, I know, **** off!!! you toe rag.

That would be a perfectly valid use of the term if it is an instruction or a suggestion, for example "kick no dogs" or "answer no trolls". Therefore I conclude that you are instructing us to not gain an enthusiastic response from any NIPs (or thrill, depending on your favoured definition of the verb "wow") .
