Headlight 07 Xenon question
Is it just the main beam thats xenon, or are they bi-xenons?

The headlamps are xenon, the high beam uses normal halogen bulbs and the sidelights are normal bulbs.
Big improvement over my old '03 wrx headlights.
Nige.

Wicked, thanks Nige Cheers for the fast answer.
I guess that will have to do for now. Had HID's on my Vectra, SO much better than OEM, so looking forward to getting them again, seeing as the bug eye lights are so poor!

I know you would need a ballast kit for dipped as my Spec C runs a ballast kit when I had Powerstation change the dipped bulbs to Xenons. Then, when I wanted to change the high beam so that there was a closer 'colour match' I purchased HB3 fitment Xenon bulbs to replace the OE high beam bulbs.
Please read more carefully!

Eh? What are you on about? 2007 models have 'genuine' HID headlamps - not those bulbs that 'imitate' HID's like you just linked to. Real HID's use a gas-discharge tube ('bulb') which runs at thousands of volts. For matching HID high beam you need a proper HID bulb and a ballast unit which consists of a high-frequency invertor to convert the 12V supply to a high voltage which can strike an arc in the bulb.
Those 'Xenon bulbs' you linked to are just ordinary filament bulbs which are coloured to look like HID bulbs, they put a small amount of xenon in them so that they can legally call them 'xenon bulbs' - probably give less light output than the OE bulbs.

Microstar - 06/07 cars have HID for dipped beam and "conventional halogen" bulbs for main beam as linked to by MrRA.
My question as above is how do you change these bulbs? Having run the +50% H4s on my Classic I am interested in replacing the main beam but can not see a way in.

And Spec C models do not use Xenon bulbs, but Halogen ones, hence why I had mine changed by Powerstation to Xenon.

Calm down! Calm down!! They are not true xenons!!! just xenon coloured. Any muppet knows "true" xenons need a ballast to make them work.
