Which detector - please help!!

Bel Euro 550 or Geodyssey - both get good reviews but the Geo is set up for the infa-red cameras that clock you between two locations.
Which is better and more set up for the future of road cameras?
Thanks

Both are supposed to be excellent but are designed for different things. The Bell detects laser and radar (especially good for mobile plod) but cannot detect fixed camera sites that work off induction loops or SPECS. Geodesy can warn of all fixed sites but not any mobile cameras or guns. Geodesy also warns of 'empty/dummy' fixed sites were the Bell knows these are not operational.
Ideally you need both and a laser jammer, but that can cost £1.5K. You pays your money and takes your choice........

The Bell will tell you which ones are working and give a 'reasonable' warning to allow you to slow down if you are not being too silly. The 550 will do normal Gatso's & Mini-Gatsos but not Truevello!
The Geodesy will tell you where all the fixed site are, if you keep it up to date. It will not tell you if it is working and will warn you about ones which are not even on your road.
The Bell will also pick up Petrol Stations, Microwave beams in the middle of nowhere, lasers at occasional motorway overbridges your locaal branch of Wickes etc. etc.
None of them will tell you where the new mobile ones are or if you are being clocked by an unmarked traffic car!

One uses GPS and the other detects the actual signals.
IMO the Bel will tell you if a gatso (and lets face it that's the main issue here) is close and working everytime whereas the Geo will only tell you about Gatso's it knows about (IE has the locations programed into it).
Personally I'd rather have the Bel, and then maybe get the Geo later.
