I am fitting an mp3 player in my car tommorow and a little concerned about the alarm/tracker/ecu side to things after battery disconnection. I have yet to check in the manual, but wondered if I need to know any code in advance for the alarm, whether the ecu will be reset and if there will be any effect on the tracker. Excuse my ignorance on this, but I don't want to end up with a disabled car afterwards...:-)

When you disconnect your battery, and install your Mp3 player all you need to do, is make sure when you connect back up, press the alarm key to activate and then de-activate, otherwise it will go off.
I've done this on my P1 and works ok.
