just received the e-mail below from supposedly paypal but not adressed from paypal, and no paypal copyright stuff on it like they usually have.

any info please??

go to the paypal website, and there will be a link to click to report a security issue, prob email you back saying its a hoax, or may not, just got the site and follow the instructions

Had similar, the website will looks fine but is a fraud.

Contact Paypal the normal way and report it, whatever you do, do not log ontro Paypal using the scam addy as they will then have all your info!

you usually have to forward the email to paypal, you'll find the address on their website.

But as above don't use any of the links in the email. It'll be in html so you can view the source to see where they are trying to direct you to (thats if you're interested)

The obvious answer is to type Paypal's genuine url in to your browser and try and log in. If the password has been changed you'll not get in to your account.

forward the message to spoof@paypal.com they will reply telling you whether it has come from them or not, You can be pretty certain it is a scam though.

Anything that ISN'T addressed to you directly, is a hoax, according to paypal.

simple way to check these paypal scams if they are not obvious to you is follow link and key in watever name and password comes into your head...

see if it goes to next page
