NEW 2008 STi UK car, Prodrive ATD optional extra
Just had an E-mail that the new model STi will either come with Prodrive ATD system or will be an added extra like PPP for about £2K
BTW Prodrive ATD is the Diff control that was demostrated on Top Gear P2 and is also on Video

Good news. But those who saw Clarkson testing it on Top Gear will remember to carry a sick bag!!

Thanks for posting the url, Tony. I just wonder whether ATD might take some of the fun and skill out of driving... And also perhaps increase danger for numpties who think that the car will cope with anything they throw at it because it will always bail them out...

sounds like ayc on the evos.
you never even had to think what the rear was going to do in my old evo6 just point and squirt and 100 times more stable than the scoob.
and thats exactly what ayc does, takes away the fun and skill.
my nan can drive an evo fast lol.

One of the reasons I have kept away from Evo's is I have felt there must be less driver involvement as a lot seems computer controlled.
I suppose to go quicker than these cars currently go though it is a natural progression to use more computer controlled gimickry rather than driver skill when chasing quicker and quicker lap times.
