Cool

Well, I had to do it

Not content enough with the sound of my Cat-less Hiper exhaust from the inside I actually asked my brother to take my car for a drive while I stood-by to listen to it drive off...

He's been a traffic copper for about 8 years so he's used to driving the T5's, Saab Turbos, the V6 Mondeo etc (In short I trust him with it )

Bl0OdyHeck It sounds fandaddybl00dytastic

Has anyone else tried this? Highly recommended for grin factor increase

And as for my brother...he gets out laughing saying "that is one seriously quick motor!"

Which was nice

Yeah, now and them I hand the keys to my wife at the track so I can REALLY hear it go
And of course we can never go through a tunnel with the windows closed...

See me and Student Bloke?

We are regulars at the "Drive MY car past ME at various speeds so I can hear what it sounds Like"

He's just put a Magnex Back box on his RB5 so i reckon that we'll be at it again in a few days (ooer)

Might be a sad thing to do, but a man gotta do what a man gotta do

I find that it also helps you understand why people 100meters away turn round when you pull away from traffic lights and also when you hear the Nova brigade, you can appreciate the fantastic advantage that the Boxer gives us

Go do it, you know you wanna.

Mikey

ps it's just as cool to listen to the car "bimble" past.

When the missus is coming home from work I take the hound out to meet her ... I can here her coming into the village from a couple of hundred metres away, the dog recognises the exhaust note (it's true, Chris L will back me up on this one!!), he just turns and sprints to meet her at the pad. When she comes past the sound is fantastic especially when she boots is - yes I do let her only when I'm in close proximity! - sad I know but Scoobysport exhausts sound mint ( back-box only ).

I bought a camcorder recently, so after I had my new wheels and exhaust fitted we went out one afternoon and he taped me while I went around a tight 90 degree bend near Bruntingthorpe at various (legal) speeds. Car sounded great!!

I was going to post the movie files here but not had a chance yet...

I got pulled over the other night passing a patrol car at 25-30mph - the officers said the car sound very loud and was there a problem with my exhaust - perhaps 7000rpm would have shown them what loud is!

Must add that the two officers turned out to be cool! - if only they where all like that.

The scooby exhaust note was one of the key things that made me want one

My mate who's had three and is currently on an Evo VI still admits that he misses the noise of his old Impreza

Cool

I'm a saddo as well then!

A while ago, my girlfriend and I were walking along when a Scoob with a non-standard (and noisy) exhaust went past. Purely out of curiousity, I asked her if mine was as loud. She replies "Nah, yours is much louder than that!". I couldn't get the huge grin off my face for hours...

I also open the windows in tunnels...

you're not sad, you're well balance and adjusted, just like the rest of us

When suzy borrows the car I do listen whilst she drives off, just to see how loud the thing is! really want to hear it now it's got the downpipe and is decatred. sounds great from inside, especially in car parks want to know what I sounds like outside.

is quite normal to be like that. I am apprehensive though as am about to fit new headers which though unequal in length, are tubular! worried!

If any one hasn't done this, do it.

I let my gf drive it on an industrial estate and stoof outside the car and was astonished and chuffed to bits at how nice it sounded. I have had the centre decatteed since then so maybe it is time for another listen

I was once a saddo too.
I use to look for under motorway bridges/tunnels and give the scoob a good boot(HKS HIPER,Apexi blowoff/k+n etc).

The scoob's boxer engine is the "BEST" for sound,2 mates have skylines, they sound great but theres something special about the scoob.

I use to let my brother drive it,so i could feel what a passenger felt like!

The main thing that keeps making me want another Subaru (own a Evo iv)is the fantastic sound they make.
You could have a huge pipe and no filter and it wouldnt come close to the fantastic baarbble that scoobs make.

I love em'

Markus,

That's just what I do!!

If she needs to go out in my car now I open the kitchen window (on the front of the house) and listen as she backs out if the driveway and goes down the road. I don't have to listen for her comming home either. Sound great when she pulls up in it too It's got a Powerflow bb and de-cat centre. Not as loud as some, but sounds good to my ears
