Ekoteck Stuff
I have been lloking at an Ekoteck Air Valve System.
It says more eficent, quicker pick up etc. Also goes on to say that it has been tested by some SN Members??
Questions, a) Does it do all the things it claims, better acceleration, more mpg, better for your engine?
b) Is it easy to fit and where/how to do you fit it?
c) Is it worth the money??
Tips/advice greatly received.
Regards.
Alan MaC.

Although allowing a bit of turbulent air to be sucked into the engine can sometimes give a very small increase in mpg the thing won't work on a turbo engine since there isn't any suck (not when you are on boost anyway).
Notice the very bog-standard cars they tested.
It probably isn't very different in principle from the Tumbler Generator Valves that are in the intake anyway.
Even with a shopping car if the best Ecotek can show under ideal conditions is less than 1% improvement in fuel consumption then it isn't likely to help much in the real world.

Evening Ricardo,
Thanks for replying, if you look at products, cb 26p, then on car brands Subaru , it shows an WRX, ( As I said, it claims SN members tested this ()E Mail address provided) & they were saying 10% MPG gains on a turbo).
They have Dealers Nation Wide.
Looked on Search on SN, noing, just trying to get to the bottom of this.

MR RA,
Thanks, all I want to establish, did SN Members really test this, did it do what they claim, and, if not why advertise this.
On the other hand, if they did test it and it was good, maybe, just maybe this might work?
Regards Alan MaC
PS I will search to find out the names of the SN Members who tested this, and post.

Right, found it.
According to their Web Page in Jan 2001, Nigel Kearney & Iain ( Both SN Members (e mail addresses attached).
Tested WRX Turbos with them & did all the stuff they claim.
I'm not looking for the Clowns on this Forum to respond but, those who were on SN at that time and may be able to shed some "constructive" light on this.
Thank you.

Ricardo, you are a genius!!
Found the group buy on this going back years.
Just as you say, off boost OK, on boost, way Pedro!
That's what posting on here is all about.
The Clowns were correct,this time.
Thanks Ricardo.
Kind regards.
