decided to get a afterburner vortex
after having my 99 classic for a year running a full decat with scoobysport backbox ive decided i want something a bit louder and meaner sounding so im taking the plunge and getting a vortex. how is it going to sound compared to the scoobysport? any opinions?

have you considered other options. ive got a scoobybits system on mine. 4.5" back box mating with a 3" resonated centre/standard downpipe. thats loud, but a lovely rumble. no high pitched whines, and in a confined space/tunnel etc... whoa. jase said when he fitted it for me id be impressed, christ he wasnt wrong and its still got a cat on it.

It'll be so loud that your neighbors will either love or hate you.

ive got a full afterburner vortex decat system on my MY99 WRX and its mental. the sound is amazing.... it is very very loud on mine indeed, but a lovely sound.
pre remap sound on mine is also really different to post re-map sound!
since ive had it ecu-tek'd it sounds absolutely mental.... when you give it beans it really does sound like something from behinds about to rip you out of the car and kick your a$$
on chat it gives a race style rasp sound! you'll love it m8!
mine didnt loose the rumble either... one very happy customer (unlike my neighbours / parents / local residents.... and the rest of my community LOL ) i quickly (less than a day) realised to 'keep the peace' and be fair to road i have to let it cool down in non-residential areas (ie the top of my road )
all in, they rock
