Got my MY01 WRX a week last Saturday - first time I've owned a Scooby. What a car, scary but will soon get used to it.

Anyway, is it me or wot. Every man and spoilt brat seems to be on a mission to get past me, do Scoobs come with a "go on punk, make my day" sign on the boot or something. Think they've all got a death wish, certainly not got any sense, or is it me!!!!!

I get it all the time mate. Its part of owning a high performance machine. Get use to it. Ive come to the conclusion that they just want to get past so they can have a noise at it.

hmm, I'd say there was definetly something wrong with the car, I'd get it checked out.

Must be something wrong for you to be driving slow enough for people to overtake you

Cool

Jez Funky Monk Flying? (Bizarre name)

what would you have done if he has cut you up?

bit weird someone flashing when in another type of car thoguh.

Get Scoobies flashing but nothing else.

You could have bought a 5door, you get a lot less attention..

I'd rather have a 4 door but needed the 5door... down point being no one moves over to let you pass in a 5door...

welcome to the club ! it happens all the time, pretty much every day this week for me... Peugeot 205 last night inside my exhaust, van this morning, cosworth the other day etc... goes with the territory... sigh.

Just keep an eye out because there are some real idiots around (see the MAX POWER post!) and could end up wacking you.

Scary thing happened on Friday... I was in coventry and waiting to pull out at a junction and there was an artic truck coming but a really good way off (i.e. a learner would use the gap) so I pulled out and got going. Next time I checked the mirrors I see this truck hurtling up behind and I thought 'oh ****' and I actually braced for impact (I also put my foot down at the time). Luckily I avoided any harm but either he wasn't thinking or was playing games. Artic truck + new scoob wouldn't mix that well :-(

Unhappy

Mattski - that happens quite a lot when I'm in the girlfriends car (a 106). Someone sees you pulling out a safe distance ahead then they actually accellerate and brake hard right behind you, as a 'punishment' for you having the nerve to pull out in front of them. They're trying it on, basically. When that happens I'll just slow down to like 20mph until they back off. Pr1cks.

This sort of bullying doesn't happen when I'm in the scoob. The girlfriend says she gets it all the time as she's in a small car, along with people going out of their way to not let her join motorways from the sliproads. They really need to get a life imho.
