Default Finally got one!!

Picked up an MY03 STi yesterday, OMG!!!! Have to say Im loving it to bits at the minute and will hopefully get pics up soon. I would just like to ask for some advice from scoobynetters, as she sits, the car is bog standard apart from a HKS blow off valve, I know i know, prodrive wheels and prodrive mudflaps. What, in your opinions, would be your list of possible modifications you would do to the car and in what order?? Now, just to make myself clear, I love how she is at present but I would like to build up a possible shopping list for the future https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/norty.gif I would be after driveability first and foremost as opposed to sheer power, so your suggestions are welcome!

Welcome to the fold!

Mods in order - exhaust, induction kit &/or fuel pump, boost solenoid & remap with one of the "good guys". Should see a few extra bhp

Oh, there will be others that recommend sorting the suspension &/or brakes first. Not me though ...

Go to Powerstation and get their power upgrade and the handling stage 2 pack. Then ask em to supply and fit the ds2500 brake pads, hoses and fluid. Do it all in one go and you will never look back.

Ive had work done with all the 'scooby guys'

1) Scoobyclinic (mainly some body work and brakes install)
2) TSL (Suspension Tein)
3) WRC Tech (Cold air, auro intercooler spray and APS top mount)
4) Powerstation (Remap, handling and exhaust)

For me Powerstation have the best all round package (not the most variety) their remap has also been the best

ARB's and droplinks first thing! - granted not going to be particulary shiney or impressive - but when your driving you will most definity notice them

Are these a DIY item mate or would I need to get a mechanic to fit them??

If they are DIY, how easy is it to do

Its an easy DIY job. I'm far from the most mechanically minded person in the world and I managed to fit them in 3 hours with plenty of tea breaks..

Only thing to say is that you need a pair of drive on ramps (which are handy to have anyhow..) - other than that its very simple.

Even if you only do the rears (which are all that are done on mine at the moment), I would say that its the greatest improvement you will ever get for £150 worth of parts.
