Whats the best thing you have done FOR FREE!


mine was to lob 2" off the gearstick

De-tango as per my thread earlier today (although it cost £13 for bulbs). Otherwise the rear-light swap over (see same thread).

Does the poor-man's short shift really make a diff?

i love it mate, only took 5 mins, gearknob off, cut cut cut and put back on,

feels alot tighter now

debadged the car....used an old credit card and my mates hairdryer (hence his electricity so free )

also the mirror finish SS sills were looking tatty and worn with numerous scrapes and scuff marks..didnt want to spend on some new ones, so bit of wet and dry and some cleaning and ...we have brushed aluminium sills

Best free mod, deffo debadging.

The rear lOOks less cluttered and meaner. Now you can lOOk at it without trying to read it.

It just says STi

Thats the only bit I did take off!!!

I think it looks a bit too much without anything although I may take off the WRX to just leave STI and type UK in the future

What did you cut it down with? I thought about this as with the sparco aftermarket gear **** it feels like first gear is out the window... lol

Surely the hacksaw took longer than 5 mins to get through that thickness?

Mrs not putting out lately so plenty of "self abuse" big arm muscles lol

narr i did it in about 5-10 mins overall i think didnt take long big saw with a new blade cut through it like butter...

i got a momo one on mine, i will take a pic later mate and show u if you want
