Default RB320 - worth paying over list for?

With hindsight I would not have changed my car and probably put in an order for an RB320, but I didn't - hey ho.

Anyway there are about 3 or 4 for sale near to me but most of them are £1000 to £4000 above list. Is it worth paying over the odds for one or not?

Cheers

Nope. You could get a JDM spec car and uprate the suspension and have more power and still be in pocket.

probably not as most specials dont command massively higher prices when you come to trade in why not wait until they start doing 2008 special editions to shift the hatchback maybe a PS320 as in petter solberg

Would have bought a Jap car and then donated some of the difference to the RBF instead.

Just over £30k new without any options. Most people have changed the seats from standard, opinion seems to be split between the stereo upgrade.

Most of the ones for sale appear to be at dealers - I presume the circumstances for some people changed between ordering and the car delivery. I don't know how much the dealers will move closer to list price.

Having just taken delivery of mine I'd say they're worth every penny but I am somewhat biased

Don't forget it includes:

PPP
Custom Prodrive suspension (lowered)
Custom Prodrive 18" wheels

plus all the branding etc. Also obviously limited edition

I don't think any of the owners actually bought them because they were the cheapest option

Edited to add that Subaru say it's got £6k of extra's over the standard STi - looks like they got the price spot on then

Lets face it, Jap Spec cars are better... The new hatch is coming out soon. The RB320 suspension can be sourced to fit on a standard MY07. If the RB brand doesn't mean anything to you then go for the MY07 and mods.. Or wait a bit for the hatch.
For me, there was no other option BUT the RB320... Love it to bits. But then there is RB in my sole.

If the RB320's have all finally sold you've not missed the boat by much. THere were still a few unsold about 3 weeks ago.

There is a new one with 5 miles and black alcantara on Autotrader for list £31.5k.Youd have to be mad to pay over the odds for any Scooby no matter how nice knowing that its going to drop like a stone in value.
